What is Will Power?

"Will power" is your ability to make conscious choices. when things are done "at-will" means one can act at any time by choosing the right choice without any resistance or hindrance.

Will is closely related to Desire. Your success rate will be less when you do not want anything very much. This is reflected in the saying 'A faint heart never won a fair lady.' If you have a high level of desire for something, on the other hand, then you will likely continue. which reflects the saying 'Where there is a will, there is a way.'

Defining Will Power -

There are many common names or synonyms for willpower if you google this term: Drive, Determination, Self Control, Self Discipline.

According to psychological scientists, they define willpower as-

• Control exerted to do something or restrain impulses.
• It is an ability to delay the reaction of happiness over short-term temptation to meet long-term life goals.
• It's one's capacity to override thought, feeling and impulse that is unwanted.
• Willpower is your ability to make conscious choices.

Willpower is a motivation that controls your mind to do the things which are not healthy, which may not cause financial troubles, by which you can spend less time on social media etc.

At its essence, higher the willpower chances are more that you will end up with much more positive results with regards to your goals. But lack of willpower is not the only reason you can fail to achieve your goals. researchers describe that are three essentials components to achieve your goals as follows which are explained here- 

•  First Component- Set your goal & establish the motivation for change.
• Second Component- Monitor your actions, your behavior towards a goal.
• Third Component- Exercise Willpower or Self Discipline

A test to access your willpower- As there is no definitive test to assess your willpower, but you can gauge personality traits by answering the questions.
